“True leadership must be for the
benefit of the followers not the enrichment of the leaders.” - Robert Townsend
When you look at celebrities they
build a huge fan base who follow them and shield them as and when required.
When celebrities are in crisis the fan base helps them greatly as fans stand behind
them. But creating an army of fan base is not an easy task. You must have
domain expertise to create a set of selective followers. You must have principles
and stick to them through thick and thin. You must care and connect with them
from time to time to keep them motivated. It requires your time, money, energy
and resources to build an army of fan base.
Political, corporate, religious
leaders, sportspersons, and film stars create their fan base that gives them
great strength. It makes them more
accountable and responsible. It provides meaning to their lives. Political
leaders like Abraham Lincoln and Mahatma Gandhi live beyond their lifetimes due
to their impeccable integrity, ethics and values.
When celebrities have poor health the
fans pray for their good health. When they experience lows fan base keeps their
survival intact. You can create your fan base through various means and ways
including usage of social media, interacting with people in your area of
interest and participating in NGO activities.
Once you build your fan base you can convey message to society and make
a huge difference. Hence, build a huge army of fan base to soar like an eagle.
"A true Master is not the one
with the most students, but one who creates the most Masters. A true leader is
not the one with the most followers, but one who creates the most
leaders." — Neale Donald Walsch
