“The winners in life think constantly
in terms of I can, I will, and I am. Losers, on the other hand, concentrate
their waking thoughts on what they should have or would have done, or what they
can’t do.” – Dennis Waitley
People often search for stones by
leaving gems at home. There are a number of people who build skills by spending
their money, energy and time by ignoring their inherent talents. They put the
cart before the horse. In fact, they must first spot their hidden talents
through psychometric instruments or by discussing with their parents to spot their
strengths. After discovering their talents they must choose the ones which are
close to their hearts and pursue them based on the available resources, and
then they must build skills and abilities around their talents. This process
must go on regularly in the chosen domain to become an expert and achieve
success consistently. They must also
learn, unlearn and relearn to stay relevant and stand out.
Your strength consists of your inborn
talents and gifts acquired from your parents, the kind of education and
experience you have; and the skills, knowledge and abilities you have apart
from other unique strengths that stand you out. Hence, spot your talents and
unique strengths and capitalize them to achieve success. There are many people
who don’t know their strengths and leaving this world without any contribution
and achievement. Therefore, when you
want to achieve greatly you must learn to spot and tap your strengths and
channel them effectively.
“Concentration of effort and the habit
of working with a definite chief aim are two of the essential factors in
success which are always found together. One leads to the other.” - Napoleon
Hill
